About New Carrollton Bible Church

Our Church History

New Carrollton Bible Church began on Sunday, November 18, 1979, under the leadership of founding Pastor L. Samuel Martz. The church initially held services at Lamont Elementary School on Good Luck Road until November 1982. From there, services moved to the chapel at Washington Bible College until March 1985, when they transitioned to the Linton Hall Building at the same institution. After years of growth and faithfulness, the church held its first service in its current facility on November 10, 1996.

Pastoral Leadership

As God continues to write the history of New Carrollton Bible Church, we remain steadfast in our mission to fulfill the Great Commission, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, worship in Spirit and in truth, and love both God and people.
Located in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, NCBC is a place where people of all races and backgrounds can gather to worship our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for us as we seek to honor Him in all that we do!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to faithfully fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as commanded in Matthew 28:18-20:
"Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen."
We carry out this mission through two primary avenues of ministry: Evangelism and Edification.

Evangelism

Edification

The Gospel: The Good News of Jesus Christ

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers through His death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Because of sin, we deserve death— eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23a). However, the good news is that God, in His love, provided a way of salvation.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." – Romans 5:8
Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, He paid the penalty for our sins, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him (Romans 6:23b). The Bible declares that anyone who repents of their sins and confesses Jesus Christ as Lord will be saved:
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." – Romans 10:9-10
God’s promise is clear:
"For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." – Romans 10:13
We urge you to call upon the name of the Lord today and receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This is the good news of the Gospel, and it is available to you!
